#Repost @thedurhammuseum • • • • • • Are you on the fence about virtual summer camps? Skeptical about more screen time for your kids? While there’s no substitute for the enrichment that an in-person camp can provide, rest assured, the Durham Education team—who garnered rave reviews for their work on our virtual field trips during the school year—is putting the same care into our Summer Camp programs, balancing screen time with activity time. Just look at what a camp parent has to say about their camper’s recent experience: “My son participated in many virtual summer camps and other virtual activities, and the Durham's camp was by far the best. Each day was well-planned, the activities were engaging and age-appropriate, and the teacher was patient and knowledgeable. It was fun to have a summer camp t-shirt even though he was stuck at home. I highly recommend the Durham's virtual summer camps.” For a full list of camp themes and to register visit CampsAtTheDurham.org (link in bio) and we'll get your camper's “Camp in a Box” supply kit in the mail. ⏰ If you’re looking to still get in on next week’s camps, June 15-19 (Ready, Set, Go! • Our Five Senses • Around the World • Sound Scientists) it’s not too late to register. ⚠️ But, it may be too late to get your kit delivered by mail before Monday—please contact our Education team to check and arrange for your kit pickup: 402-444-5027 or email [email protected] #campsatthedurham #omahasummercamp #durhamight #🐂💪🏽
